Derbyshire, midwinter. A teenage girl goes missing. The villagers are called up to join the search, fanning out across the moors. Meanwhile, there is work that must still be done: cows milked, fences repaired, pints poured. Life goes on. Jon McGregor, award-winning author of Even the Dogs and If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things, returns with his first novel in seven years: Reservoir 13, the story of many lives haunted by one family's loss, unfolding over the course of thirteen years in a small village. At this event, Jon will lead the audience on a journey through the landscapes and hidden stories of his new novel, which Eimear McBride called ‘absolutely magnificent; one of the most beautiful, affecting novels I've read in years.’
If you are bringing a smartphone or tablet device to this event, please ensure that it is fully charged and ready for use.
