Ride Behind the Flying Scotsman
Take a ride on the nation’s favourite locomotive! Flying Scotsman was originally built in Doncaster for the London and North Eastern Railway (the LNER), steaming from the works in February of 1923. It was designed by the great Sir Nigel Gresley and was selected to appear at the British Empire Exhibition in 1924 as the epitome of British industry.
The people’s engine makes a very welcome return to the East Lancashire Railway following her brief appearance in January, don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime experience!
