Women Who Wank is a remarkable improvised one-woman show about love, life and the other stuff. A mixture of heart-felt honesty and outrageous humour, the show sees performer Joanne Tremarco talk frankly about one of our most taboo subjects - female orgasms.
Tremarco expertly and entertainingly explores theories surrounding masturbation and the physical and spiritual energy which is produced.
But this is not a show which will offend and shock unsuspecting audiences - it is a hugely warm and tender piece of theatre, filled with tear-jerking intimate stories and beautifully delivered feelings by the performer. And audiences can expect the unexpected - the unscripted show is totally improvised so no two performances are the same. Tremarco employs several performance techniques including Fooling, which she learned while training with world-leading artist Jonathan Kay at his Nomadic Academy For Fools.
Tremarco is one of Britain's leading improvisation performers. The Liverpool-based artist has performed over 300 hours of solo improvised performances across the UK and USA. She established FoolSize Theatre in 2012 with Christopher Murray, specifically creating work about taboo subjects. She trained in live art in Birmingham and later toured with the Nomadic Academy of Fools in the UK, Germany and Spain . The improvised show has been a huge nationwide touring hit, including several sell-out stints at Edinburgh Fringe. The show has gained cult status with audiences with many returning to see Women Who Wank multiple times. Joanne Tremarco's wonderful performance skills produce exceptional moments of theatre in what is a truly unique show. She is one of this country's greatest improvisation and fool performers.
