Taking their name from a 1960's advertisement for clothing, and from Wigan, Pink Shirts for Pale People formed in the later years of high school under different names before eventually settling on the latter. Since 2018 they’ve released 11 songs with success, having racked up around 140,000 streams as well as various airplay including BBC introducing 6 times and being interviewed on the Merseyside show last year. and The New Music Show which saw the band interviewed and all of their songs were played. Having headlined around the UK with shows in Manchester, London, and Liverpool, playing venues like Deaf Institute, Jimmys, 93 feet East, Band on The Wall, Castle, The Old Courts, Phase One, and Jacaranda among others, including a headline slot at Night People in Manchester. Their last release 'Falling All The Time' saw the band refine their musical skills, sound, and was their most ambitious release to date.
Joining PSFPP on the bill we welcome unsigned Wigan 4-piece Cavelia for the first time. The band, which consists of Owen Hamilton (vocals and guitar), Danny Rollins (guitar), Jake Field (bass) and Alex Rothwell (drums), have an album on the way and the band have drawn attention from the off with their anthemic-vibed debut single ‘‘Euphoria, Debauchery, Love’ and follow up releases “Seasons” and “All I Can Take (Ft. Pink Shirts for Pale People). During lockdown the bands have been full on with production but we’re looking forward to seeing them live.
