Following the sudden death of founding member Barney McKenna in 2012 and John Sheahans’ decision to retire it was agreed that The Dubliners, as a touring band, would come to an end and THE DUBLIN LEGENDS were born.
THE DUBLIN LEGENDS, Sean Cannon, Paul Watchorn, Gerry O’Connor & Shay Kavanagh, have over 100 years of performing experience between them and Sean was the lead singer with The Dubliners for over 30 of them! They will, of course, continue to play all the classic songs and ballads known the world over; Whiskey in The Jar, Dirty Old Town, The Wild Rover, Seven Drunken Nights, The Rare Auld Times, Molly Malone, The Irish Rover, Black Velvet Band & many more.
In 2017 guitarist and founder, Eamonn Campbell, passed away while they were on tour in Holland. Even though he had been in poor health it was still a massive shock. The lads asked an old friend, Shay Kavanagh, if he would like to come on the road with them and, thankfully, Shay readily agreed. Shay is a stalwart of the Irish Folk Music scene. He was a founding member of General Humbert with the great Mary Black and has played with The Dublin City Ramblers for many years.
It was Eamonn’s wish that the band continue touring and finish off recording the album they had been working on. This is a follow-up to “The Dublin Sessions” which featured 16 newly recorded tracks and included some old favourites & classics that the lads wanted to get down on disc…The Leaving of Liverpool, Schooldays Over, Pub with No Beer, Rambling Rover, Hand Me Down My Bible and some scorching tunes from Gerry O’Connor: Billy in The Low Ground / The Temperance Reel
In the past seven years the band have continued the legacy of The Dubliners by travelling far and wide playing concerts to a whole new generation of Irish music fans. They have wowed audiences in Iceland, Norway, Finland, The Faroe Islands, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland and all over England, Scotland & Wales. This band are the REAL DEAL so make sure you join THE DUBLIN LEGENDS on their 2019 UK Tour for a night full of songs and stories and the odd pint of Guinness!

Johnny’s big break came in late 1966 when he recorded a song called Mursheen Durkin, an old ballad from the west of Ireland. It topped the charts at Number 1 for three consecutive weeks. It was followed up by The Boston Burglar which also reached Number 1.
His first tour of the United States was in 67. It involved 7 weeks of concerts during that hot summer of Hippies, Protests and Vietnam. One of the many famous venues he played was the “Hungry Eye” in San Francisco. However, his favourite was the famous “Carnegie Hall” in New York. It was at this stage in his career he had his third Number 1 hit with the song Nora from Sean O’Casey’s famous play “The Plough and the Stars”
On a golden August afternoon while sitting on a stone in the sun outside a pub in Co. Sligo came the inspiration to write his first song Long, long before your time. It too reached Number 1.
Many of his songs have become standards and been recorded by many other singers.

Widely considered one of the most charismatic performers on stage, Steve Harley continues to play to sold-out venues across the UK and Europe. For Steve, life on the road is more than just a job: it is almost his life’s blood.
And with the February 2020 release of the all-acoustic CD, “UNCOVERED”, the original Cockney Rebel shows no sign of slowing down. The Acoustic Band for 2020 will find Steve supported by long-standing violinist/guitarist Barry Wickens, Oli Hayhurst on double bass, with Dave Delarre on lead guitar.
Steve has been playing Live shows around the world for over 45 years and the thrill of another night in another place to another audience has not dimmed at all.
“We have real adventures on tour, “says Steve. “I’ve seen the Northern Lights, the Midnight Sun and dozens of wonderful galleries, museums and great cities, all on my down-time. I have a great life as a Wandering Minstrel!”
“UNCOVERED” includes a re-recording of Steve’s own highly-esteemed song “Love, Compared With You” with a newly composed third verse, plus his thus-far unrecorded “Only You”, and nine other songs he’s always wanted to perform. The album features Barry Wickens on viola and acoustic guitar, Oli Hayhurst on double bass, Tom Hooper on percussion and the Roots Music Legend, Martin Simpson, on guitar. Steve also sings a duet with the amazing Scottish singer, Eddi Reader.
The acoustic sets for 2020 will include songs from the new CD, plus a selection from the vast and eclectic Harley Songbook. Mr Soft, Judy Teen, Sebastian and the legendary Make Me Smile will all be re-produced in the unique acoustic style. Close-Up Culture stated: “It was an intimate night in the presence of a great musician. An individual whose passion for live performance and perfection (it shows in his face) remains undiminished.”
Rod Stewart, who covered Steve’s song “A Friend For Life”, describes him as “One of the finest lyricists Britain has produced.” MOJO said simply, “Harley creates rock songs that are proud, lyrical and full of yearning.” Steve has also been described as “A consummate performer at the top of his game,” and this show will bear that out.
Steve received a Lifetime Achievement Award for Acoustic Music from the Acoustic Festival of Britain in 2018.

John O'Connell’s Simply Dylan Band will be back in 2021 for a brand-new headline tour across the UK to celebrate Bob Dylan’s 80th Birthday.
As straightforward as the title suggests: no frills, no gimmicks, no pretense; Simply Dylan is John’s personal exploration and celebration of the rich and diverse work of Bob Dylan. O'Connell, formerly of Groundpig, has had his name indelibly written into the tapestry of Liverpool's music scene, has collaborated with other highly reputable musicians to form his Dylan Band.
The combination of the band delivering high energy renditions of the prodigious songwriter’s work and John skillfully singing and enunciating the lyrics, has seen the project go from recognising Dylan's 70th Birthday, to selling out the Cavern Club 6 times, to receiving fantastic reviews from audiences across the UK and most recently having the privilege to open up the Isle of Wight Festival in 2019 on the big top stage.
“It is incredible to consider that Dylan has been writing and performing for some 6 decades and continues to do so right up to the present day. The talent he has for story-telling and developing a song is extraordinary. My greatest challenge is deciphering a set-list when there is so much choice and an array of genres to select from; after all everyone has their own personal favourite!” John O’Connell
Ansell's Les Musicals' Live Concert Tour is the ultimate celebration of Musical Theatre.
Jonathan Ansell (G4 Frontman) and Jai McDowall (Britains Got Talent -Winner) have joined forces to create a dramatic and spine-tingling concert. This vocally dynamic evening showcases even more smash-hit songs from the greatest musicals of all time, brought to you by two of the world's finest voices.
Come and immerse yourself into the world of Musical Theatre with classics from Les Miserables, Phantom Of The Opera, Wicked, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Greatest Showman, Miss Saigon, Chess, We Will Rock You and many more...After sell-out shows in 2018 & 2019, Ansell’s Les Musicals returns in 2020 due to phenomenal demand.
'Les Musicals' is in no way connected with or authorised by CML, Alain Boubil Music Limited or CML’s Les Miserables production..
Chris Helme, who first rose to prominence as the front man of John Squire's post-Stone Roses band 'The Seahorses’ began his solo career in 2012.
Still rightfully remembered for the anthemic Britpop classics 'Love Is The Law' and 'Blinded By The Sun' - songs that evoked everything the 90's stood for, the excitement, the culture and the bands that provided a voice in a period of political and social imbalance.
Present day societal context may well in fact mirror those times but the man himself, now, appears cut from an entirely different cloth. Helmes has an enviable back catalogue, bolstered further by his acclaimed works with The Yards, but it's his latest offering The Rookery's knack for melody and imaginative, intricate, three-way guitar interplay that brings each track to such lush, blossoming, climaxes. Add to this Helme's keen ear for arranging and those brooding string passages resonate even more deeply.
Sit back and enjoy a Musical Master at work.

Fame and greed tore their friendship apart, They haven’t spoken in decades ….
Ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors when legendary bands meet up to discuss a reunion? What’s really going on behind the hugs and kisses at those reunion press conferences?
THE THUNDER GIRLS were a successful ‘80s girl band until lead singer, Chrissie, sensationally quit the Band to pursue a solo career taking with her, Rick, the Band’s manager. Chrissie broke the Girl Code as Rick was also the boyfriend of Band mate, Roxanne.
At the reunion dinner from hell, Chrissie tries to reunite the band to salvage herself from bankruptcy after being conned out of her fortune by her toyboy husband.
But is there a price which can heal the wounds?
Or maybe some friendships never die, even if you want them to?
Originally formed in New York, Odyssey were quick to build themselves a reputation as a premier act. Headed up by Steven Collazo, the eldest son of the group’s original founder Lillian Lopez, the group is formed of several talented performers. Sharing the stage with Romina Johnson and Jerdene Wilson, Steven has led the soul singers towards international stardom.
One of the group’s best-loved songs, the iconic Native New Yorker, saw the group achieve widespread success upon its release in 1977. Performing well in the international charts, the track soon made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. The song was later covered by fellow American singer Frankie Valli, garnering the song further attention with the listening public. Not long after, the group achieved further success with the release of their R&B-inspired hit Inside Out, which was featured in music magazine NME’s Tracks of the Year.
Capitalising on the disco band’s increasing momentum, the group went on to release a number of notable albums and singles. During the years that followed, the group produced an array of memorable songs, including Going Back To My Roots, Don’t Tell Me, Tell Her, I Can’t Keep Holding Back My Love, Ever-Lovin' Sam, Magic Touch, When You Love Somebody and It Will Be Alright. Up until 1982, the band released a number of albums with iconic record label RCA Victor.
Although the group was originally based in the United States, Odyssey enjoyed much of their greatest popularity in the United Kingdom. As a result, the group remain vastly popular with British artists and audiences alike. Their song If You’re Looking For a Way Out was covered by the Nottingham-based rock band Tindersticks, featuring on their fourth studio album, Simple Pleasure. Odyssey member Romina Johnson has also collaborated with a number of notable British actsover the years, having featured on The Artful Dodger’s hit single Movin’ Too Fast.
As some of the best-loved soul singers of all time, Odyssey continues to tour music venues across the country. Building further upon their already impressive musical repertoire, the group are the perfect choice for corporate events and a wide array of other occasions.

Funk is a way of life for the James Taylor Quartet, which has been one of the main proponents of funk and acid jazz in Britain for more than a quarter of a century. Since its formation in 1985, the quartet has embodied creativity and surprises, and is especially known for its electrifying live performances. Join them for a truly special show.
A journey from jazz funk to acid jazz
Also known as JTQ, the James Taylor Quartet was founded in 1985 when James Taylor, a Hammond organ player, was looking for a new musical project to replace his former band. Drums, guitar and bass make up the other three pieces of the quartet, while many recordings and live performances feature guest vocalists. The band became known for their covers of film theme tunes, from 'Blow-Up' (their first single, released in 1987) to 'Mrs Robinson', 'Goldfinger' and 'The Theme from Starsky and Hutch'. James Taylor Quartet songs are almost always a funked-up version of the original, with a fast-paced rhythm and punk-influenced style of playing that leaves plenty of room for one of James Taylor's virtuoso Hammond organ instrumentals. With a rough, often heavily improvised style, the group became famous for their incredible live performances that turned both songs and genres on their heads to approach dance music. It's almost impossible to watch the James Taylor Quartet live without getting your groove on - and with so much creative freedom thrown into the mix, you can never be quite sure what you're going to get.
Be thrilled by the James Taylor Quartet live
After a brief detour from jazz funk to concentrate on acid jazz in the 1990s - during which time the James Taylor Quartet had a top 40 single and released one of their best ever selling albums, 'In the Hand of the Inevitable' - the band returned to their roots and began releasing more funk and soul-influenced songs. James Taylor Quartet gigs inevitably feature a mixture of cinematic covers and original compositions, with stunning improvisation allowing the two to melt seamlessly into one another. They have worked with Tom Jones, Manic Street Preachers, U2 and The Pogues, made numerous television appearances, and contributed to film soundtracks including 'Austin Powers'. While the output of James Taylor Quartet albums has been prodigious, 2018 saw the group finally realise a long-awaited project when they recorded an orchestral album ('Soundtrack from Electric Black') based on the legacy of great film composers but adding a rougher, more punk-like vibe to proceedings. It was proof that this band is still full of surprises, and just as fresh and creative as they ever were. Don't miss out on an electrifying performance.

In Stoke on Trent in the early seventies, a young Gordon Hendricks played to an imaginary crowd. Harmonizing his voice to a constant soundtrack, played on repeat by his sisters. The music was Rock n Roll. The Artist was Elvis.
Little did he know then that his performance in his potteries home would lead to a phenomenal career impersonating The King, working with his legendary musicians in years to come.
Karaoke led to ITV’s ‘Stars in their Eyes’ where he rose from runner-up to series champion winning by a record number of votes. Watched by 12 million viewers astounded by their ears and eyes. And it wasn’t just the public. Elvis’ own songwriter Geoff Morrow was watching. Touched by Gordon’s voice that “recaptured the spirit of the song”, Geoff signed Gordon to his label and the two recorded and released “Where Will I Be”, a song originally written for Elvis.
Gordon’s received many accolades. The greatest being crowned ‘Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artiste Champion 2017’ on stage at Graceland for the second time, competing against global artists.
He’s toured the world and now he’s coming home. ‘The Spirit of Elvis in Concert’ tour transports you through time from the ‘68 special through to the Vegas era, breathing soul into ballads and those iconic jumpsuit numbers that set the stage on fire. They have been continuously touring for more than 40 years and they are still touring to this day!
With hits like ‘Digging Your Scene’ and ‘It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way’, The Blow Monkeys epitomised the glamour of mid-80s pop at its most graceful and sophisticated. In the band’s frontman Robert Howard (aka Dr. Robert), they possessed a tall, charismatic singer who was both camera-friendly and clever, who appeared to be just as much at ease on the catwalk that is pop’s conveyer belt as he was penning witty, incisive songs. While quite clearly Robert’s band, though, the Blow Monkeys were also gifted three immensely talented musicians in bassist Mick Anker (he of the trademark bowler hat), saxophonist Neville Henry and drummer Tony Kiley.
Behind the band’s stylish veneer lay something else, which became increasingly apparent from Robert’s lyrics. While some of the Smash Hits generation avoided politics with a capital P, The Blow Monkeys openly criticised the policies of the Conservative government, railing against social injustices and adopting an openly left-of-centre stance on issues of the day.
From openly endorsing the gay community “Digging Your Scene” to an outright attack on Margaret Thatcher ‘Celebrate (The Day After You)’ – a duet with the late, great Curtis Mayfield, The Blow Monkeys were always the thinking person’s pop group.
As the 1980s progressed, so too did the band’s musical style, from a sound once dubbed “jazz punk” by Robert to a more soulful, jazzy style and an ever-increasing adoption of dance music. The Blow Monkeys of their rare, indie debut single ‘Live Today Love Tomorrow’ (recorded on a shoestring in 1981) would be barely recognisable to those who bought the Balearic remix of ‘La Passionara’ from 1990. And yet a soulful, spiritually uplifting strain has continued to run through their music – and, indeed, that of Robert’s solo recordings – to this day.

Because of the nature of their music, their fan base is one that is far reaching while always retaining an ‘underground element’. This paradox sees the band, who are known primarily as serious jazz/funk musicians, enjoying both high ‘cult’ status and instant recognition as a household name.
After a number of successful top-twenty singles in the UK, the band went on to score unprecedented international success with the release of the classic ‘Nightbirds” recording and the title track has now become a standard in the popular music repertoire. This success was repeated with the top-ten hit “Down on the Street and the award-winning video established the band’s personnel of Jill Saward(lead vocs), Bill Sharpe(keys),Keith Winter(gtr), George Anderson(bass) and Roger Odell(drums). From the banks of the River Tyne came the North East's offering; a brand of rhythm n blues that the whole world seemed to grasp greedily.
The Animals were the second British band to top the American charts after The Beatles with the now multi-million selling and legendary anthem, 'House of the Rising Sun'. The band subsequently achieved over twenty global Top Ten hit records, many of which gained the Number One slot in various parts of the world. Formed in London, UK, Heatwave are a funk/disco group who came into international success in the mid-70s and 80s, known for the hits, “Boogie Nights,” “Always and Forever” and “The Groove Line.”
The band came together initially when two American serviceman brothers, Jennie Wilder and Keith Wilder, who were based in Germany, began performing together. After they were discharged, they moved to London, UK in 1975 to team up with songwriter/keyboardist Rod Temperton. They then fleshed out the lineup with Spaniard Mario Mantese (bass), Czechoslovakian Ernest Berger (drums) and Americans Jesse Whitens (guitar) and Eric Johns (guitar). With the multicultural nature of the group, they managed to create an eclectic sound that pushed their music well ahead of their peers, becoming pioneers in their genre.
After touring the London club circuit, they gained the attention of GTO Records, with their simple disco beats and heavy funk grooves. They began recording their debut album but the tragic murder of Jesse Whitens set them back. However, finding a replacement in Roy Carter, they began recording again, releasing a string of singles culminating in the hit disco anthem, 1977’s “Boogie Nights.” The song hit number two in the UK charts and also became a top five hit in America. Their debut album appeared later that year, titled “Too Hot to Handle,” peaking at number five in the R&B charts. By the end of the year, they had also gained a number two hit in the US with their soul ballad, “Always and Forever.”
Success followed them into their next album, “Central Heating,” in 1978, featuring the hit, “The Groove Line,” which scaled the top of the charts. However, lineup instability followed shortly after, with both Johns and Temperton leaving the band. Further tragedy hit after Mantese was stabbed by his girlfriend and was left paralysed, forcing his retirement. In 1979, Heatwave had recuperated to record their third album, “Hot Property,” which despite its strong collection of songs, failed to make much of an impression in the charts.

Smooth Jazz guitarist Peter White returns for his usual visit – playing just 1 show downstairs in the Club. We have an amazing time every year, and we are glad to be able to welcome Peter back. He will be playing selections from his ever growing discography as well as songs from throughout his solo career.

Over the years, Peter White has maintained a reputation as one of the most versatile and prolific acoustic guitarists on the contemporary jazz landscape. Armed with an unparalleled combination of lyricism and energy, he combines elements of jazz, pop and classical guitar to create a sound that is singular and at the same time accessible to a broad audience.
At aged 20 he was invited to join Al Stewart’s band as a keyboardist for a tour of England, Scotland, and the U.S. in 1975. In addition to opening for artists like Linda Ronstadt, Billy Joel and Queen, White worked with Stewart in the studio in the making of Year of the Cat, which became a huge hit for Stewart in 1976. The tour and the album marked the beginning of a twenty-year association with Stewart. In that time, the two musicians co-wrote numerous songs, including Stewart’s 1978 hit, “Time Passages.”
In a career that spans nearly four decades, over a dozen solo recordings and countless performances, White insists that it’s the faces in the crowd and the fans that keep the experience fresh. “I’ll play a live show, and someone will come to me afterward and say, ‘Oh, I loved this CD,’ or ‘This song helped me through a bad time,’” he explains. “Or I get emails from people saying, ‘Oh, I love the way you covered one of my favorite songs on your record back in 1994.’ The idea that someone can write me an email and tell me about something I did on a record that was released fifteen years ago – you can’t buy that. That’s priceless. That’s what keeps me going – the idea that people out there really care about what I do, the idea that I’ve made a difference for someone.”
