A singer-songwriter and TV Presenter from Ireland, Brian McFadden started his career as a member of ‘Westlife’ in 1998 but is now touring the UK as a member of Boyzlife with plenty of exciting plans for the future.
When Brian started his career with Westlife, they achieved twelve Number One hit singles, including ‘Flying Without Wings’ and ‘World of Our Own’. Brian left the group in 2004 to pursue his solo career, he released his debut album ‘Irish Son’ with the first single from the album ‘Real to me’ reaching Number One. In 2005 Brian’s duet with Delta Goodrem, ‘Almost Here’, became another Number One hit and went to platinum.
Brian has continuously written songs throughout his career for himself and other artists including, Girls Aloud and the theme song for the Commonwealth Games - ‘Together We Are One’. In 2007, Brian set up his own record label and ‘Like Only a Woman Can’ became his third Irish Number One. The following year Brian moved to Australia, where he released his second album ‘Set in Stone’. During the same year, he became a television presenter hosting ‘Football Superstar’ and a guest judge on Australian Idol for three series. Brian also took on the role of a breakfast show radio presenter on 2DayFM.
In 2010, Brian released a single featuring American rapper Kevin Rudolf, ‘Just Say So’. It went straight in at Number One in the Australian charts and spent 10 weeks in the top 10. It also received a nomination at the ARIA Music Awards for Most Popular Single. Following the success in 2010, McFadden brought out ‘Wall of Soundz’, his third studio album, which featured collaborations with Christian Lo Russo and Delta Goodrem.
Brian released his fourth album in 2013. ‘The Irish Connection’, featured interpretations of some of his favourite Irish songs, including ‘All I Want Is You’, a duet with Ronan Keating. He also joined Ronan for his 2013 UK Tour.
In 2016, Brian formed a group with former Boyzone member Keith Duffy, they created the group ‘Boyzlife’, since then they have toured around the world performing their greatest hits together. In between the Boyzlife tour, Brian also recorded and produced an album of soul classics ‘Otis’ featuring special guests. The solo album was accompanied by a tour of live shows called ‘Brian McFadden - Soul Jam’ dedicated to soul legend Otis Redding, all backed with a full nine-piece band. After touring Brian won ‘Best Male Singer’ award at the Boisdale Music Awards 2018.
Brian has decided to focus on Boyzlife again with four months of tours coming up in 2021, after being postponed from 2020. The band also partnered up with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to release their debut album ‘Strings Attached’ which is so far becoming a huge success making it the Number One album in Ireland and reaching Number Nine in the UK Official Charts.
