The Grand Reopening 1 – 3 May
We’re getting back on track!
This May Bank Holiday is a special one for the East Lancashire Railway. Not only will we opening our lines for the first time after the third national lockdown, we will also be celebrating an auspicious date. 2021 marks the thirty year anniversary of the re-opening of Rawtenstall Station on 27 April 1991!
Come along and join the festivities as we run regular steam and diesel services throughout the weekend. A limited number of these tickets are available at the same price they were in 1991, providing a significant discount.

30 tickets are available per outward train from Bury/Rawtenstall. Passengers must return on train indicated. Advance booking only these prices will not be available on the day.
